King Khalid University Celebrates Graduation Projects of Media and Communication Students

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, inaugurated the Media Campaigns and Graduation Projects Exhibition, organized by the Department of Media and Communication at the College of Arts and Humanities for the department's students at the Al-Fara'a Campus. He was accompanied by the university's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, and the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Khalid Abu Hikma.
His Excellency toured the exhibition, which showcased innovative graduation projects by the department's students, including innovative media campaigns, documentary and creative films, and digital media projects that addressed various topics of societal importance. The exhibited works demonstrated the skills acquired by students during their academic journey, as they combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience to present professional and innovative content.
The head of the university's Department of Media and Communication, Dr. Ali bin Zahir Al-Qahtani, explained that these projects were part of the requirements of the department's academic programs, which aim to prepare a generation of media professionals who are both scientifically and practically qualified. The projects, numbering 34, also highlighted societal and media issues to enhance students' awareness of the importance of media as a tool for positively influencing society. Dr. Al-Qahtani indicated that among the distinguished campaigns showcased were awareness campaigns aimed at addressing contemporary social issues and marketing campaigns that focused on creativity in communicating with the audience, in addition to documentary films that reflected students' abilities to narrate stories in impactful and innovative ways.
The exhibition witnessed a wide attendance from faculty members, university students, and media professionals. The exhibition provided students with an opportunity to interact with specialists and the public, enhancing their communication skills and ability to present their ideas professionally. The attendees praised the quality of the presented projects, considering this experience an ideal platform for enhancing media education and connecting students with the job market and its requirements. The exhibition represents an additional step towards preparing a new generation of qualified media professionals to be leaders of the future in the media industry.
