MOU Between the University and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development

King Khalid University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to enhance collaboration, develop skills, and support continuous learning. Representing the university in the signing was the Vice President for Business and Community Partnerships, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif bin Ibrahim Al-Hudhidi, while the ministry was represented by the Vice Minister for Skills and Training, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani.

The memorandum seeks to achieve the shared strategic goals of the two entities, which are reflected in enriching national human resources, elevating the efficiency of the job market, and developing the learning and training environment according to Vision 2030. The areas of cooperation include executing national initiatives to encourage the private sector to engage in the national training initiative “Waad,” which aims to train the Saudi workforce, in addition to collaborating on planning career paths and developments and offering consultations to ensure quality in e-learning and training.

The MOU also aims to unify efforts and exchange expertise to apply best practices in education and training, in addition to organizing specialized events, seminars, and initiatives that serve sustainable development goals and community initiatives. It’s worth noting that this MOU is an important step in enhancing integration between the two parties and contributing to supporting the labor market with qualified national talents capable of contributing to national development.
