King Khalid University organized a field trip for a number of international students as part of its ongoing celebration of International Students Day. The university was represented by the General Administration of Institutional Communication and in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the General Administration of International Students.

The trip included visits to the House of Culture in Ahad Rafidah, the Jerash archaeological site, and the Al-Shaib Educational Museum. The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, and the General Supervisor of Institutional Communication, Prof. Mufleh Al-Qahtani, were in attendance. The aim of the trip was to enhance cultural awareness and provide an opportunity to learn about the region's history and heritage.

The cultural tour was met with great enthusiasm from the participants, who represent diverse nationalities and cultures. They expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which reflects the university's commitment to enriching the educational and cultural experiences of its students. The students affirmed that this event was a unique experience that added greatly to their personal and intellectual growth, and helped to open new horizons for understanding and cultural connection.

The students explained that what they saw of historical and heritage landmarks, starting with the House of Culture in Ahad Rafidah, continuing to the Jerash archaeological site, and ending with the Al-Shaib Educational Museum, reflects the Kingdom's rich history and heritage, which serves as a bridge for communication between generations and cultures. They emphasized that this experience strengthened their sense of appreciation for Saudi culture and its deep-rooted values and humanitarian meanings.

The students also noted that such events contribute significantly to reinforcing the values of coexistence and intercultural dialogue, especially in light of the great cultural diversity embraced by the university, which hosts more than 2,500 students from over 85 countries representing various nationalities and cultures around the world. This makes such activities an ideal platform for communication and exchange of experiences, and for their impact in enhancing their sense of belonging to their larger community, which provides them with all the attention and support.

At the end of the tour, the international students expressed their deep gratitude to the wise leadership for the support and care they receive in the Kingdom. They also expressed their appreciation to King Khalid University for organizing such distinctive programs that enrich their academic experience and provide them with valuable opportunities to learn about the rich Saudi culture and interact with the local community.
