His Excellency Prof. Amr Ezzat Salamah, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, visited King Khalid University. He was welcomed by the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, along with the University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Alqarni.

At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held with the University President and the team from the University’s Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research. The meeting included discussions on the potential to strengthen academic and research collaboration between King Khalid University and other Arab universities through the Association. Emphasis was placed on the importance of exchanging academic expertise and enhancing joint programs that support innovation and reinforce the role of scientific research in achieving sustainable development across the Arab world.

Following the meeting, a field tour was conducted across various university facilities, where His Excellency reviewed the latest research and educational equipment in the university’s laboratories and central facilities. He also visited specialized research centers that rely on advanced technologies to support education and scientific research. His Excellency, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, expressed his admiration for the infrastructure provided by the university to foster an advanced educational and research environment. He commended the university’s innovations in digital education and the use of technology to enhance the educational process, and he expressed his appreciation for the progress the university has made in scientific research and the development of postgraduate programs. He affirmed that these resources strengthen the university’s ability to continue advancing in international rankings.
