King Khalid University Acting President Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Du'ajim, recently met with the Deputy Governor of the General Authority for Awqaf for the Sectors of Charitable Spending and Developmental Programs, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Aqil, at the authority headquarters in Riyadh. This meeting was held as part of the activation of the strategic partnership between the two entities.

Secretary-General of King Khalid University's Endowments, Prof. Omar bin Saeed Al-Mishaite, explained that the meeting discussed strengthening cooperation in several common fields. A number of topics were also addressed, which will contribute to activating the strategic partnership and the previously signed memorandum of understanding between the two parties which will positively impact the growth and development of the university’s endowments.

Al-Mishaite, added that the meeting discussed several key topics, including studying the General Authority for Awqaf's support for King Khalid University's Endowment Investment Fund and enhancing the benefits for the university’s students from the "Maslak" program, supported by the General Authority for Awqaf, which offers students educational loans for fields in high demand in the labor market. The meeting also discussed enabling donations to the university’s Endowment Investment Fund through the "Waqfy" platform for all members of society. Additionally, the two parties explored cooperation in launching competitions to raise endowment awareness among the university's staff and students.
