Abu Melha opens an exhibition of Economy department students' works

The Assistant Vice - President for Girls' Colleges of King Khalid University Dr. Kholood Abu Melha, yesterday evening, inaugurated the exhibition that was organized by the Faculty of Management and Economics in Abha. The exhibition was under the title "Learning towards perfection"

The event included many of the activities of the Faculty students from various disciplines, and at different levels. The exhibition included many stands such as the one of modern art paintings, knitting, embroidery, morning clothes, and dresses for wedding ceremony, special events costume, children's clothing, as well as displaying pictures of foods made by the students in the field of nutrition. In the exhibition, there are many students of the Administration and Economics Faculty, and a number of faculty members, in addition to the many visitors.

On the occasion, the Dean of the Faculty Dr. Samar Naami revealed that the exhibition's aims were to highlight the creativity of the students, and their skills, noting that the exhibition was a kind of spiritual support for the students, in terms of highlighting their talents and innovations. She added that it would be the beginning of other fruitful works, and the establishment of subsequent exhibitions that would prove the college's care to the students, and their talents. She further pointed out that the exhibition uncovered the students' various creative artistic tastes and touch.

On this regard, Dr. Samar Qanonah explained that the exhibition was to introduce the areas of home economics to the community, as well as the importance of community service. She said, "the exhibition contributed to introducing Home Economics Department to the students willing to undertake Undergraduate stage studies, and how they can, through the study in this section, start small projects in areas of food processing, clothing and painting, photography, crochet and accessories…etc., which given support, will transform to larger projects beneficial the community. "
