King Khalid University’s College of Nursing Organizes the First “International Nursing Simulation Conference in Asir”

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Nursing in Abha, is organizing the first International Nursing Simulation Conference in the Asir region. The conference will start on Monday, October 7, 2024, and will continue for two days at the University's Exhibition and Conference Center in Al-Fara'a.

Prof. Hamid bin Majdou’ Al-Qarni, the University's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, explained that the university aims to enhance education, training, and knowledge in the field through this conference, which is part of a series of scientific conferences being held by the university this year. He noted that the conference will witness wide participation from various nursing practitioners and will play a pivotal role in developing their skills in the field by providing interactive and realistic simulation-based learning experiences.

Dr. A'ida Al-Qarni, Dean of the College of Nursing in Abha and Head of the Scientific Committee, stated that the conference aims to improve clinical skills and provide a safe learning environment through simulation. She highlighted its role in fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences among participants, helping them expand their knowledge in the fields of nursing and healthcare. Dr. Al-Qarni also emphasized the conference's role in developing new simulation-based educational strategies to enhance the effectiveness of nursing training programs.

Dr. Al-Qarni further indicated that the conference targets directors and supervisors in healthcare institutions, medical education researchers, nursing practitioners, faculty members, and nursing students to enhance their clinical abilities and skills before entering the job market.
