A Seminar and 10 Research Papers at the First Day of the "Islamic Studies and Vision 2030" Conference

The international conference, “Islamic Studies and the Question of Development in Line with Vision 2030”, kicked off today at King Khalid University. The first day included a seminar and two scientific sessions that presented 10 research papers, with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists.
The seminar focused on "The Specificity of Motivation and Development" and was presented by His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Namlah, former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, and moderated by Dr. Ahmed Al-Husaini, Vice Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at King Khalid University for Research and Graduate Studies. The first session addressed the "Role of Sharia Colleges in Achieving Saudi Vision 2030" and was chaired by the Dean of the College of Sharia at Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University, Prof. Yahya bin Ali Al-Amri. The first paper discussed "Jurisprudential Ijtihad in Light of Future Studies and Its Role in Achieving Development," presented by Dr. Humaid bin Haml Masrar. The second paper, titled "The Value of Islamic Studies in Developing the Nation and Its Prosperity," was presented by Dr. Mohammad bin Saeed Al-Dhafran.
Dr. Abdul-Sattar Mohammad Wali presented the third paper, titled "Fundamental Influences of Saudi Vision 2030." In addition to a research paper titled "The Sharia Specialization and Its Role in Achieving Saudi Vision 2030", which was presented by Dr. Maria Bassam Abdulrahman. The first session concluded with a research paper titled "The Importance of Jurisprudential Rules and Their Impact on the Legal Rulings of Contemporary Issues and Meeting the Needs of Society," presented by Dr. Wafaa bint Mohammad Al-Essa.
The second session was titled "The Importance of Islamic Studies in Addressing Societal Issues" and was chaired by the Dean of the College of Sharia at the Islamic University, Dr. Mohammad bin Radi Al-Sunani. It included a research paper titled "Areas of Contribution of Islamic Studies to Societal Issues - Medical Jurisprudential Issues as a Model," presented by Dr. Jamila Adel Fatta. The second research paper, titled "The Value System in Light of Saudi Vision 2030 - Digital Citizenship as a Model," was presented by Dr. Omar bin Salem Al-Amri. Dr. Sultan bin Sagheer Al-Anzi presented his research paper titled "Development, Nation, Economy, and Vision in the Light of Surat Al-Baqarah - Foundation and Codification." The session also included another research paper titled "Utilizing the Call to Allah in Achieving Intellectual Security for Society and Its Development," presented by Dr. Mohammad bin Fahad Al-Harbi. The session concluded with a research paper titled "Women's Developmental and Civilizational Contributions - A Foundational Study and Its Impact on Vision 2030," presented by Dr. Rima Ali Al-Qahtani.
It is worth noting that the conference will continue for two days and will present 23 research papers, with the participation of experts and specialized researchers, in the presence of deans of Sharia colleges from across the Kingdom.
