University Council Announces The Bachelor Preparatory Program in its First Meeting for 1446AH
King Khalid University - General Administration of Institutional Communication
On behalf of His Excellency, the Minister of Education, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, chaired the first meeting of the University Council for the year 1446AH.
The meeting was attended by the General Director of the Council of Universities’ Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, alongside University Vice Presidents and Deans.
Prof. Hamid bin Majdou’ Al-Qarni, University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Secretary of the University Council, explained that the council discussed agenda items and made appropriate decisions. These included approvals, extensions, and terminations of scholarships, as well as the appointment of teaching assistants, lecturers, and the extension of services and appointments for several faculty members.
Al-Qarni added that the council approved the recommendations of the audit committee in its ninth and tenth meetings of the fiscal year 2024. It also approved the recommendations of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services’ Council regarding various projects and contracts. The council also approved the Bachelor's Degree Preparatory Program at King Khalid University, and the approval and amendment of some regulations and bylaws were approved.
Al-Qarni explained that the council approved a consulting services contract with (QS World University Rankings), in addition to approving the inclusion of Dr. Rahma bint Nasser Al-Qathani, director of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Environmental Research and Sustainability of Natural Resources, to the scientific council membership.
