AirEco Project Earns Gold and Four Awards at Indonesia Invention Exhibition
King Khalid University - General Administration of Institutional Communication
The AirEco project, spearheaded by Ms. Rafif bint Aaid Al-Shahrani and incubated by King Khalid University's Agency for Business and Community Partnership, represented by the Entrepreneurship Center, has secured the gold medal at the "Indonesia Invention Day Exhibition (IID) 2024." Additionally, the project garnered four awards from Taiwan, Romania, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
The AirEco project stands out for its exceptional ability to detect and pinpoint the locations of living beings that have fallen into steep mountainous cliffs, which are notoriously difficult to find due to the challenging terrain. The device seamlessly integrates detection technologies and artificial intelligence to provide robust support for rescue teams, offering a multitude of tasks and functions once a location has been identified.
The director of the university's Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Majid Al-Aziman, explained that the university's participation has solidified its scientific standing and competitiveness among the participating global innovations. This achievement underscores the university's commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and representing the nation on international platforms. He pointed out that the university is keen on supporting innovative ideas, and to raise awareness and transform the concept of entrepreneurship, showcasing the success stories of projects incubated at the university's Entrepreneurship Center, and creating new job opportunities. He extended his congratulations to Ms. Rafif Al-Shahrani.
