University President Attends Freshmans’ Welcoming Ceremony 1446AH

The Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, attended the welcoming ceremony for new students of the academic year 1446. The event, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the Al-Fara'a campus, was attended by a number of deans of colleges, deans of supporting deanships, university staff, and students.
In his speech, the Acting University President welcomed the new students, expressing the university's pride in their joining. He emphasized that the university will exert every effort to provide an ideal educational environment that supports their ambitions and aspirations. Dr. Ibn Duajem praised the great support that the university receives from the wise leadership, which has enabled it to achieve many accomplishments that have placed it in a prominent position among universities. He also stressed the importance of new students familiarizing themselves with the university's systems and regulations and adhering to them to ensure a fruitful educational experience.
Referring to the importance of digital transformation in education, bin Dajam affirmed that the university seeks to keep pace with modern technological developments by providing advanced educational e-services and developmental systems that enable students to access educational materials and university services from anywhere and at any time. He urged students to benefit from the expertise and guidance provided by faculty members, who will be their best support in their academic journey.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Mosfer Al-Qahtani, also welcomed the new students, affirming that the university is proud of them and considers them partners in its achievements. He stressed the importance of benefiting from the services provided by the deanship through its various departments and centers.
This year's event included an introductory and awareness exhibition for new students, in which a number of university departments participated. The exhibition showcased the most important systems, services, and programs provided by the university, aimed at helping students adapt to university life and make the most of the available educational opportunities.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of new students in various specializations. During the ceremony, presentations were given by deans of colleges and supporting services to introduce students to the tasks of the colleges, deanships, and various departments. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions, which were answered directly by the concerned parties.
It is noteworthy that a welcoming ceremony was held for female freshmans, in the presence of the University President's Advisor for Women's Student Study Complexes, Dr. Kholoud Abu Malha, and included a number of diverse programs.
