MOU between the University and The Saudi Camel Club to Enrich Cultural Heritage

King Khalid University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with the Saudi Camel Club, to enrich cooperation in the field of cultural heritage. The MOU was signed on the university’s side by its Acting President, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, and on the Saudi Camel Club’s side, by its CEO, Dr. Batel bin Khalid Al-Onizi.
The University's Acting President confirmed that the MOU marks the university's interest in positive cooperation with various national institutions to achieve integration. In addition to developing programs and activities that serve human development in Asir and the kingdom at large. He also confirmed that through this MOU, which comes in line with the Year of the Camel 2024, the university aims to support research, professional training, and the cultural role that camels play in our Saudi society.
Oh his end, Dr. Batel bin Khalid Al-Onizi, expressed his joy with this cooperation, pointing out that the Camel Club puts great emphasis on cooperation with educational institutions to enrich cultural heritage of camels, by providing specialized training programs that aim to prepare camel workers and enthusiasts, as well as conducting studies and research to maintain and develop this field.
The MOU marks a vital step towards cooperation between the two parties, and will lead to further academic programs and specialized research, achieving mutual benefit. It will also help provide exceptional services that aid with the preservation of camel’s cultural heritage in our society. It is noteworthy that the “Saudi Camel Club” was founded with the aim of preserving heritage, as they organize festivals and activities, and conduct research and academic programs.
