University Council Approves the Regulations Governing Health Fellowship Programs

On behalf of the Minister of Education, King Khalid University Acting President Prof. Professor Saad bin Muhammad Du'ajim, chaired the twelfth University Council meeting for the academic year 1445AH. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council of University Affairs, Professor Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, university vice presidents, deans, and assistant deans of faculties and supportive deanships.
The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Secretary of the University Council, Professor Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni, explained that the council discussed the topics on the agenda and made the necessary decisions regarding them. These decisions included approval of scholarships, extensions, terminations, and the joining of several teaching assistants and lecturers. Additionally, degrees (higher diploma, master's, doctorate) were awarded to a number of postgraduate students.
The council also approved newly introduced bachelor's programs in the Departments of Hospitality and Tourism at the College of Tourism and Hospitality, adopted the recommendations of the Review Committee in its eighth meeting for the fiscal year 2024, and approved the final accounts of the Student Fund for the fiscal year 2023.
Al-Qarni added that the council also approved the promotion of some university employees to higher ranks, adopted several cooperation agreements between King Khalid University and a number of foreign universities, approved the regulations and procedural guide for the university's health fellowship programs, and approved the executive procedures for nurturing talented students at the university.
