KKU Concludes the Second Edition of the "Innovation in Education Hackathon"

King Khalid University represented by the Deanship of Electronic Services, concluded the second edition of the “Innovation in Education Hackathon “which was organized by the Deanship of Electronic Services in partnership with a number of sectors and which was held over a span of 5 days at the university city in Al Fara’a.
On the occasion, the university acting president delivered a speech in it he said: The Innovation in Education Hackathon, second edition reflects the university's commitment to supporting innovation and creativity in education through empowering young creative minds. He also commended the participants’ innovative visions and solutions during the hackathon and noted our leadership's interest and support in education and innovation, evidenced by the generous allocated budgets and the continuous support. He stressed, that KKU is keen on investing in emerging technologies in education and its outputs and expenditure efficiency. He added that the university will hold this hackathon annually, noting that the Deanship of Electronic Services has started working on the third edition of the hackathon, which is scheduled to address research issues.
On his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Electronic Services Dr. Hamid bin Saleh Al Qahtani, reviewed the hackathon’s outputs, explaining that the vision and passion of our leadership have inspired the nation's youth and instilled the spirit of excellence and determination in them. He highlighted some numbers regarding the hackathon, which attracted 150 participants represented in 30 teams from around the kingdom. He added that creativity soars among young people under the guidance of our leadership, due to the constant motivation and support of our wise leadership.
Dr. Al Qahtani explained that the Deanship of Electronic Services at the university is seeking to achieve excellence in education through the various initiatives it leads, which play a major role in enhancing the use of technology in education and enhancing digital transformation in the university.
Following that, the Acting President of the University witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between King Khalid University and the National Center for Electronic Education, followed by a visual presentation of the hackathon’s highlights.

Third place, (Faheem) Team
Fourth place, (Bayan) Team
Fifth place, (Tamakun) Team.

To conclude the ceremony, the Acting President honored the sponsors, participants, supporters, and media of the hackathon, and presented them with certificates and commemorative shields on this occasion.
