On behalf of the Minister of Education, the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, chaired the 11th meeting of the University Council for the academic year 1445. In the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council of University Affairs, Prof. Bassam bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, alongside members of the University Council.
The Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research and Secretary of the Council, Prof. Hamed bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, explained that the meeting reviewed the topics on the agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them. The academic calendar of the university for the academic year 1446H was approved, the establishment of Master's programs was approved, the recommendations of the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services related to contracts for various projects were approved, and the cooperation agreement between King Khalid University represented by the College of Engineering and the Saudi Society for Civil Engineering was approved.
Al-Qarni added that the council approved the formation of the Board of Directors of the Medical City at King Khalid University, and approved the reconstitution of the Permanent Committee for the Affairs of Assistants and Lecturers, Language Teachers, and Research Assistants. In addition to approving the reappointment of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Finance and Business, and the extension of services, appointments, early retirement, and the transfer of services for a number of faculty members was approved.
