Acting University President Launches Digital Platforms for Managing Indicators, Commercial Offers, and Hackathons

The Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, recently launched various new digital platforms developed by the Deanship of Electronic Services during 2024 at the university campus in Al-Fara'a. These platforms aim to achieve the university's strategy 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030.

The Acting President praised the efforts made to develop these digital platforms, stressing that this step marks the university's efforts to develop many administrative, educational, and research procedures. He explained that digital transformation is not just a technology update, but it is a fundamental element in the university's strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency and enhancing the experience of students, faculty, and staff.

Bin Dajam added that this step will reduce the effort and time required to complete tasks, which will allow employees to focus on valuable activities and will enhance innovation and creativity. The use of modern technologies also contributes to improving the accuracy of data and the speed of access to it, which supports making decisions based on reliable information at the appropriate time. He pointed out that the university keeps pace with the rapid developments in the world of technology and information by adopting the latest digital solutions and developing advanced technical infrastructure. This reflects the university's commitment to providing an integrated educational and research environment that supports innovation and enhances the university's competitiveness locally and globally.

For his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Electronic Services, Dr. Hamid bin Saleh Al-Qahtani, explained that the digital platforms provide technical services with high efficiency and effectiveness, achieving a distinguished user experience. He explained that the deanship’s vision focuses on building an integrated digital future that allows everyone to access information and services easily and smoothly. He noted that this step is a continuation of the many services that have been developed recently to serve the educational, research, and administrative process.

The new platforms that have been launched include the "Sprint" platform, which is dedicated to managing technical hackathons. Registration has been opened for the Innovation in Education 2 hackathon, which is organized by the Deanship of Electronic Services in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, starting early next month. These platforms also include the "Oroud" platform, which was developed in partnership with the General Administration of Institutional Communication, in order to collect commercial offers from university members and showcase them in one place. In addition to the "Qiyas" platform, which is an important tool for managing work on indicators for measuring the university's annual government transformation.

As well as the "Voice of the Beneficiary" platform, which aims to strengthen the relationship with beneficiaries through surveys and questionnaires, helping the university collect feedback and opinions on the services provided for improvement purposes. In addition to the "Newsletter" platform, which is a digital platform that enables the deanship to communicate with its members about everything new in technology and various other fields.
