King Khalid University Soars in QS World University Rankings 2025, Achieving 601st Place

King Khalid University made a remarkable leap in the QS World University Rankings 2025, jumping 160 placements globally compared to its position last year, to now rank 601st globally and 6th among Saudi universities.

The university’s Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou Al-Qarni explained that this achievement is a testament to the university's unwavering commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation. King Khalid University has been implementing a comprehensive strategy to enhance its academic programs, strengthen its research capabilities, and foster a culture of innovation. These efforts have paid off, as the university consistently rose in the QS rankings over the past few years.

Al-Qarni expressed his gratitude to the Acting President of the University and thanked all working teams and faculty members for their hard work. He added that in addition to its overall ranking, King Khalid University also performed well in several individual metrics, stressing that the university's reputation among academics and employers improved significantly, and its research output also witnessed a notable increase. These strong indicators suggest that King Khalid University is well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory in the years to come.

The supervisor of the International Rankings Unit at the university, Dr. Mohamamd bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, explained that the university's progress in the QS rankings is a source of great pride for the entire university community, and reflects the hard work and dedication of the university's faculty, staff, and students. This achievement highlights the university's commitment to Saudi Vision 2030 and the Asir Development Strategy objectives.

It is noteworthy that the University Council approved the University Ranking Development Project, which will ensure the university’s continued momentum to achieve even greater heights in the future.
