KKU Institutional Communication Organizes Asir Media Meeting

King Khalid University, represented by the General Administration for Institutional Communication, organized a meeting for media professionals in Asir for the year 1445H. The meeting was attended by representatives of various media outlets in the region, alongside media and communication coordinators at the university. The meeting was held at the Exhibitions and Conferences Center at the University City in Al-Fara'a.

Al-Qahtani, extended a warm welcome, on behalf of the Acting President to the attendees. He explained that the meeting was held to exchange ideas and expertise and that it marks a transformative period for the university, including the Al-Fraa’a City transfer and the comprehensive restructuring of various universities around the kingdom. In addition to the launch of the University Strategy 2030.

Al-Qahtani said that with the end of this academic year, this meeting came at a time when the university's image has become clear in terms of its strategic objectives, directions, and priorities in the fields of education, research, innovation, and community service. He expressed his deep gratitude to all parties that worked alongside the university, explaining that the university seeks to build a media strategy with partners inside and outside the university, in line with the university's strategy 2030 and the Asir Development Strategy.

For his part, the Head of the Department of Media and Communication at the university and the supervisor of Afaq newspaper, Dr. Ali bin Zahir Al-Qahtani, delivered a speech in which he praised the General Administration for Institutional Communication at the university. He also welcomed the media attendees, and stressed the university and the administration’s desire to develop media-related work in the region. He added that the department represents a distinguished reference for media and communication work in light of its abundant capabilities. The meeting concluded by honoring partners from inside and outside the university, followed by a tour of the "Our University City" exhibition and the University City in Al-Fara’a.
