University Launches Excellence Awards Platform

King Khalid University Acting President, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, inaugurated the launch of the KKU Excellence Awards Ninth Edition Platform, in line with the University’s Strategy 2030 and the Asir Development Strategy, at Al-Fara’a campus. In the event Several University Vice Presidents, employees, and students were in attendance.
During the launch, the Acting President stressed the importance of the platform and the various fields included in the awards. He explained the role it represents and its impact on the university’s objectives and our national goals, hoping to motivate and inspire university community and students to excel and innovate in academia, research, and management.
Bin Dajam, thanked the team responsible for the platform execution from all collaborative entities. He also stressed the importance of launching a campaign to introduce the awards, their aims, and the mechanism of participation, spreading a competitive spirit. He pointed out that the platform will help discover and highlight talents in various fields, particularly among students and university affiliates for maximum benefit on all sides.
On his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, Prof. Salem bin Ahmad Al-Qarni, explained that the launch marks a great development and a unique addition to the university's legacy, pointing out that awards aim to improve educational outputs in line with the labor market and sustainable development. In addition to enriching research and innovation to meet the needs of society and economy. He proceeded to commend this launch as it improves university life and the university’s pursuit of improved social awareness, service, and volunteering.
It is noteworthy that the university will accept Award applications in the ninth edition of the Excellence Awards through the digital platform awards.kku.edu.sa, which include six fields. Education and Learning, Research and Innovation, Social Service, University Life, Institutional Excellence, and Revenue Development and Sustainability. From 14 Safar to 30 Rabe’ Al-Aoual 1446H.
