Saudi Archery Elite Championship Concludes at King Khalid University

King Khalid University, in cooperation with the Saudi Archery Federation, concluded the Elite Archery Championship, which was held at Al-Fara’a University Stadium over the span of three days. The championship highlighted the talents and competitive spirit of players from various clubs, as part of the ongoing efforts to promote archery in the Kingdom.
The championship attracted a wide participation of 76 players representing 26 clubs from different parts of the Kingdom, in nine different categories. The competitions were managed by a refereeing team consisting of 8 professional referees. The participants in the championship competed for 24 medals distributed between gold, silver and bronze in the Olympic bow and compound bow categories. The competitions showed a high level of performance and professionalism, reflecting the development of archery in the Kingdom.
The Dean of Student Affairs at King Khalid University, Dr. Ali bin Mosfer Al-Qahtani, expressed his pride for the university's hosting of this important championship. He affirmed that the university strives to support sports activities and contribute to the development of sports skills for male and female students. He added: "We believe that sports are an integral part of the educational process, and we strive to provide an ideal environment that combines academic excellence and athletic excellence and improves the quality of university life."
For his part, the President of the Saudi Archery Federation, Mishal bin Abdulmohsen Al-Hikair, expressed his joy with the success of the championship and its exceptional organization. He extended his sincere gratitude to King Khalid University for hosting and supporting this championship, noting that such championships play a vital role in uncovering young talents and refining players' skills.
The championship concluded with the crowning of the winners in various categories, where medals and certificates of appreciation were handed to the winners amidst a public presence and praise. This confirms the commitment of King Khalid University and the Saudi Archery Federation to support sports and athletes, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
