The University's Acting President, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, recently inaugurated the services of the "Rasen" platform, affiliated with the Design Thinking Center at the University Agency for Business and Community Partnership, at the Business Center in Al-Fara’a.
The “Rasen” platform is a pioneering platform that facilitates researchers' communication with specialists in statistical analysis, reviewers, translators, and proofreaders in all academic fields. It also comes to serve students, researchers, and university affiliates by providing them access to scientific and advisory services for a fee, in addition to contributing to the university's sustainable revenue.
At the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, the Vice President for Business and Community Partnership, Prof. Abdulatif bin Ibrahim Al-Hadithi, welcomed the University’s Acting President and the attendees. He explained that the numerous awards and recognitions evidence the university’s exceptional efforts in keeping pace with digital transformation, and that this inauguration marks a distinguished point in the university’s digital transformation journey.
He added that this platform will serve all axes of the university’s strategy in education, research, and innovation. In addition to community service, institutional excellence, and revenue.
Al-Hadithi explained that this platform started two years ago, when the University Agency for Business and Community Partnership decided to develop the platform, improve its services, and launch it. The platform will be updated with new services periodically.
After that, the attendees watched a presentation detailing the story of “Rasen”, followed by the Acting President’s inauguration, and honoring the platform's team. To conclude the ceremony, the Acting President witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Design Thinking Center and the Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies, aiming to develop cooperation in the field of research and innovation.
