King Khalid University's "Engineering" Journal Inducted in the Global "Scopus" List

The College of Engineering "Frontiers in Engineering and Built Environment” journal at King Khalid University, was accepted in the global Scopus database, as it succeeded in meeting Scopus accreditation standards and aligning with international criteria.

King Khalid University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamid bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, praised the efforts of the Scientific Publishing Administration, the College of Engineering, and the editorial board for this achievement, adding that the university will spare no effort in support of research in the university. He pointed out that the university is making exceptional leaps in the field of research and innovation. Al-Qarni extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Acting President of the University, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.

For his part, the Editor-in-Chief of the "Frontiers in Engineering and Built Environment'' journal, Prof. Mohammad Khalufa Al Masfer, explained that despite its relatively recent formation, the journal is considered one of the most promising journals in the university, marked by its classification within the global database of SCOPUS INDEXED JOURNALS. This classification is considered a distinguished certificate for the journal and for the work done by the editorial team during its years of publication, in addition to being a rare accolade for a journal in this field at such an early time in its inception. He noted that this success is a great pride for King Khalid University, as "Frontiers in Engineering and Built Environment'' has become the first scientific journal in the university to obtain this prestigious classification, which showcase the magazine's commitment to providing high-quality scientific research and contributing effectively to the global academic community.

It is worth noting, that the Scopus database was founded in 2004 and is considered one of the leading databases in the world and one of the most important and largest databases for classifying scientific journals, as all local, Arab and international journals strive to obtain this classification.
