King Khalid University Organizes the Second Scientific Forum for Postgraduate Studies in Computing and Informatics 2024

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Computer Science, organized the second scientific forum for postgraduate studies in computing and informatics 2024, with the attendance of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Hamed bin Majdou' Al-Qarni, at the Exhibition and Conference Center in the University City in Al-Fara'a.

Al-Qarni reviewed graduate students’ research posters, praising the constructive role of the College of Computer Science in empowering and qualifying graduate students, and supervising and creating graduate programs in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

The Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Arij Mohammad Al-Asiri, said in her speech that the second scientific forum in computing and informatics in 2024 sheds light on the students' research achievements and discusses the latest research in the fields targeted by the college in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and data science, in addition to the basic specializations in computer science, information systems, and computer engineering, pointing out that in 2019 the college received the first batch of graduate students with only about 30 students, and today the college celebrates approximately 150 male and female students in the various fields targeted by the college and with more than 30 research projects and scientific messages that students propose solutions in computing and informatics in various sectors to achieve the visions and aspirations of our wise leadership.

The forum sessions were then held, which dealt with the topic of central laboratories and research centers at King Khalid University, research updates in the field of computer engineering, research updates in the field of informatics and computer systems, and updates in the field of computer science.
