University Students Affairs Organizes a Mental Health Awareness Program Under the Slogan "Reassured"

The Dean of the Deanship of Students Affairs at King Khalid University, Dr. Ali bin Mosfer Al Qahtani, inaugurated the "Reassured" event organized by the Student Care and Counseling Center at the Dean's Office; which aims to spread the culture of mental health and awareness among university students.
During the ceremony, the attendees watched a visual presentation highlighting the pivotal role of the Care and Support Unit at the Student Care and Counseling Center in various fields.
In her speech, Director of the Student Care and Counseling Center, Dr. Jamila bint Mushbib Al-Rawi, explained that the center provides mental counseling to all students at the university, at the hands of experts, specialists, and consultants in various fields, which guarantees students’ success and improved university life, alongside fostering a vibrant and aware university community. This was followed by a discussion session presented by a group of members of the Advisory Committee at the Student Care and Counseling Center, which was moderated by Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology, Dr. Jabran bin Yahya Makhdi.
Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology, Dr. Khadija bint abod Al Maadi, and Associate Professor of Psychology Dr. Abeer bint Saleh Al Shehri, participated in the discussion which touched on the most prominent issues related to psychological awareness and mental health for university students, psychological resilience, the importance of psychological and mental balance, and the complementary role between the university and society in promoting mental health for students.
The event's programs also included an accompanying exhibition that included several consultative and informational sessions for visitors about the center's role and its various services. At the closing of the program's activities, the Dean of the Dean of Student Affairs honored the partners of success and the participants from the relevant authorities.
