2024-04-25

His Excellency, the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, inaugurated the "Tajahaz" platform, in the presence of deans and heads of departments at the Exhibition and Conferences Center at Al-Fara’a University City.

In his speech, His Excellency said: "Today, we celebrate the launch of the “Tajahaz” platform, an educational platform that embodies the spirit of renewal and innovation which drives King Khalid University, and enriches its strategic vision in enhancing the quality of education and training at the university."

Bin Dajam added that the "Tajahaz" platform meets the needs of students in preparing them for the "Jahaziah" tests presented by the National Authority of Education and Training Quality, by creating a comprehensive and organized question bank that covers various study materials. The platform links the learning outcomes approved by the National Authority for Education and Training Quality with the learning outcomes of the university's academic programs, which creates a balance between education and assessment. He added that providing this electronic infrastructure facilitates the process of academic preparation and assessment for students and faculty alike.

Bin Dajam confirmed that King Khalid University is committed to academic excellence and providing an innovative educational environment that helps develop the skills and abilities of its students, indicating that the "Tajahaz" platform will be a valuable addition to the university’s educational journey, and will contribute significantly to achieving its future vision. He expressed his appreciation to all the teams working on this project, which will be - God willing - a new starting point towards a better education and a bright future for its students.

During the meeting, Bin Dajam inaugurated a number of e-services to enhance academic counseling. The Dean of the Deanship for Admission and Registration at the university, Prof. Ali bin Hussein Al-Khalidi, explained that the dean's office is constantly striving to provide advanced e-services that enhance the quality of education, and works to deepen the role of academic counseling. He explained that these services enrich academic counseling among colleges, and will make it easier for academic advisors to follow up on all academic operations related to students.

Al-Khalidi added that the dean's office believes that academic counseling is an essential element in the educational system, as it contributes to the early identification of academic problems, which reduces the chances of academic failure. Academic counseling contributes to the development and improvement of the quality of academic programs, in line with the needs and aspirations of students. He stressed that the dean's office pays special attention to outstanding and talented students, and strives to provide them with the necessary support to enhance their abilities and support their creativity.
