Acting University President Sponsors Eid Al-Fitr Ceremony for 1445H
King Khalid University - General Administration of Institutional Communication
His Excellency, the Acting President of King Khalid University, Prof. Saad bin Mohammad bin Dajam, attended the annual ceremony for Eid al-Fitr 1445 AH, which was organized by the General Administration of Institutional Communication. The ceremony was attendance by the university’s Vice Presidents, Deans, and a number of university employees at the Exhibition and Conference Center in the University City in Al-Fara'a.
His Excellency extended his congratulation to His Royal Highness, the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz (May Allah Protect Them). He highlighted the kingdom's success in serving large crowds of Umrah pilgrims and worshipers during Ramadan in the two Holy Mosques and praised the national charity campaign, which was launch through the "Ihsan" platform.
During the celebration, bin Dajam reviewed the second edition of the “Ajaweed” initiatives, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governer of the Asir region and Chairman of the Asir Development Authority. He highlighted the unifying impact these initiatives had on Asir and its various governorates.
He congratulated the employees of King Khalid University, including students, faculty members, and administrative and technical staff, on the university’s recent advanced results in international classifications, highlighting the university’s interest in applying the best international practices and standards in the fields of education, research, and innovation. He stressed the importance of strategic work by the university’s various units within the framework of its 2030 strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
During the celebration, bin Dajam honored university students who won the award of the King Salman bin Abdulaziz competition - may God protect him - for memorizing, reciting and interpreting the Holy Qur’an for boys and girls in its twenty-fifth edition, the final qualifiers of which were held in the city of Riyadh. The student Omar bin Abdullah Al-Shehri, from the College of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals won first place in the fourth branch of the competition, and the student Al-Baraa bin Mumin bin Al-Sayyid Al-Muhib Al-Hussein from the same college won first place in the fifth branch.
In a related context, the Tihama University Branch celebrated the blessed Eid Al-Fitr. The celebration was attended by the President’s Advisor and General Supervisor of Tihama Colleges, Prof. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri. During the ceremony, Al-Shehri extended the congratulations of His Excellency, the Acting University President, to the branch’s employees. It is worth noting that the women's branch of the University City in Quraqir also celebrated this blessed occasion.
