University President Launches Founding Day Celebration Programs and Inaugurates "The Day we Began" Exhibition

His Excellency, President of King Khalid University, Pro. Faleh bin Rajaallah Al-Solami, launched the university's celebration programs for the Founding Day anniversary (events and media content). He also inaugurated the "The Day we Began" exhibition organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs on this occasion.
Al-Solami, on his own behalf and on behalf of the university's affiliates and students, expressed his appreciation and congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, and His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him.
His Excellency stressed that the Founding Day anniversary, which we proudly celebrate on February 22 of each year, reminds us all of the exceptional transformational moment in 1139 AH (1727 AD) that opened up horizons of prosperity for this country. He added, "As we celebrate the Founding Day anniversary, we recall with pride and honor the epics of glory, and we draw inspiration from our ancient civilization and our firm values, and our history’s sacrifices, determination, and perseverance; looking forward to a bright future in light of Saudi Vision 2030 and our national strategies that aim to achieve global competitiveness and sustainable development."
University President, vice-presidents, affiliates, and students, toured the exhibition, which displayed a number of events depicting the culture and heritage of our ancestors and our ancient history; it included an exhibition of visual arts, performing arts, horse shows, in addition to organizing the Best Founding Day Costume Award and an exhibition of traditional food.
It is worth noting that the university's colleges in Tihama will organize the Founding Day celebration tomorrow, Tuesday, at the theater of the Applied College in Muhail Asir, while the various units of the university continue to present their celebration programs on this occasion.
