100% of the University's Programs are Accredited or Under Accreditation
King Khalid University - General Administration of Institutional Communication
The university signed a number of agreements with the Education and Training Evaluation Authority for the renewal of institutional accreditation and the accreditation of 18 academic programs. King Khalid University, represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation 'Etimad' and the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, signed an agreement yesterday for the renewal of institutional accreditation and the accreditation of (18) academic programs. This means that 100% of the university's programs are accredited or under accreditation, or have been signed by the authority, at the university's headquarters in Abha.
The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency, the Chairman of the Board of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, Dr. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, and His Excellency, the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami. The contracts were signed by the Executive Director of the 'Etimad' Accreditation Center, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Bashmakh, and on behalf of the university, Prof. Dr. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, the University's Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Dean of the Deanship of Quality and Development, Prof. Salem Al-Qarni, explained that the contracts included (3) programs at the doctoral level, namely: (Foundations of Islamic Education, Accounting, and History), in addition to (7) programs at the master's level, namely: (Foundations of Education with a credit system, Curricula and Methods of Teaching Sciences, Sciences in Toxicology and Forensic Evidence, Sciences in Environmental Management and Sustainable Natural Resources, Media and Communication, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Business Management). It also included (8) undergraduate programs, namely: (Sharia, Fundamentals of Religion, Architecture and Planning, Medicine and Dentistry, Nursing Sciences (Abha campus), Nursing Sciences (Khamis Mushait campus), PharmD, and Clinical Psychologist).
In the same context, a meeting on 'Quality and Academic Accreditation' was held, where His Excellency, the University's President, welcomed the Chairman of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, reviewing the university's strategic directions and praising the partnership with the authority. His Excellency, the Chairman of the Board of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, emphasized the authority's keenness to cooperate with universities to enhance the quality of their outputs. A discussion session was also held during the meeting, where members of the university, its students, and representatives of employment agencies presented suggestions, ideas, questions, and challenges. His Excellency, the Chairman of the Board of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, and the authority's representatives discussed solutions and future plans for the authority.
