KKU Showcases Students Innovative Achievements on Engineer's Day 23

On behalf of His Excellency, King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, the University's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, prof. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, attended the Engineer's Day 23 exhibition organized by the College of Engineering at the university branch in Al Faraa. The event was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce in Abha, Dr. Riyadh bin Ahmed Al-Aqrann.

During the meeting, the University's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamed bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, emphasized the importance of this day in reviewing the outstanding projects achieved by the university at the college level. He highlighted the significance of scientific research in universities, considering it a fundamental pillar of King Khalid University's strategic plan. Through research and innovation, the university aims to meet societal needs and future economic challenges. Al-Qarni, toured the exhibition, reviewing a variety of student projects and contributions that won in hackathon exhibitions and competitions, along with research contributions in engineering fields.

Dr. Saeed Al-Qadi, Dean of the College of Engineering, explained that the exhibition aims to showcase the role of students from the College of Engineering in contributing to the achievement of the strategic goals of King Khalid University 2030. This includes enhancing research and innovation tailored to the needs of the job market, contributing to the development of the national knowledge economy, and serving the community. The exhibition also aims to highlight the achievements of graduates from the Colleges of Engineering, Architecture, and Planning, presenting graduation projects, innovations, and scientific papers.

At the end of the exhibition, the University's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research honored outstanding projects at the college level, as well as winners and participants in hackathon exhibitions and competitions. The Chamber of Commerce, a partner in the success of the exhibition, was also acknowledged. The Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce in Abha, Dr. Riyadh Al-Aqrann, presented a commemorative gift to the university on this occasion.
