King Khalid University participated in the 3rd Forum of the Regions' Principalities for Initiatives and Developmental Experiences, which was Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of Asir Development Authority.

In the meeting that was held in the open theater in the university city in Al-Fara'a, in the presence of His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry, the university's involvement was represented in the review of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami, the mechanisms for completing the University City project of King Khalid University in Al-Fara'a, and the efforts of His Royal Highness in overcoming many obstacles and challenges.

The university also took part in presenting scientific papers, where Dr. Muhammad Dahem, the vice presidency for projects' adviser, presented a paper on "Procedures for Addressing the Falter of University City Projects in Al-Fara'a." Dr. Rahma Alshahrani, Director of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Research, Environmental, and Tourism Studies, also spoke on "The Role of King Khalid University in Achieving Sustainable Development in the Promising Environmental Fields in Asir Region."

In the same context, His Royal Highness visited the accompanying exhibition where the university, through its pavilion, displayed three emerging initiatives: the "Discover and Learn Program (Educational Tourism)," the "Flexible Learning Paths Program," and the "Enhancing Beekeeping and Honey Production" initiatives.
