University Hosts Asir’s Media and Spokespersons

Under the patronage of His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Alsolami, and as part of the university summer programme, “Summer & Guests ”, King Khalid University, represented by the General Administration of Institutional Communication, hosted Asir’s media professionals, spokespersons, tour guides, and institutional communication officials to view the facilities of the University City in Al-Fara’a and to introduce the University’s 2030 strategy. The delegation was briefed on the university’s facilities, buildings, theatres, and exhibitions as well as touring the university campus.

Dr. Mufleh bin Zabin Al-Qahtani, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Institutional Communication, and the official spokesperson for the university, welcomed the guests from the media, official spokespeople, tourist guides, and institutional communication officials in Asir. In addition, Head of the Media and Communication Department at the university, and general supervisor of Afaq Newspaper, Dr. Ali bin Zuhair Al-Qahtani, delivered a speech, where he emphasized the university’s keenness to provide advanced media means in the region and contribute to the representation of Asir region.

On her part the Director of the Strategy Department at the university, Dr. Tahani Al-Mailby, delivered a visual presentation on the university’s strategy 2030, which was launched recently to align with Asir development strategy “Quims and Shem”, making it the first university strategy designed according to its region's strategy.

After that, the Director of the Saudi Press Agency in Asir, Mr. Saleh bin Khaloufa Al-Ahmari, delivered a speech on behalf of the participating delegation, in which he expressed his appreciation to King Khalid University. Al-Ahmari concluded by stressing that the university city has become an architectural edifice, which reflects the heritage and culture of the region, and an important destination for guests and visitors.
