Administrative Decision to Restructure the General Administration of Internal Audit at KKU

His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami, issued a decision to review the structure and roles of the General Administration of Internal Audit in KKU.

The administrative decision stated three departments to the General Administration of Internal Audit in the university. The first is the Internal Audit department, which is divided into three units: the Technical Audit unit, the Performance Review unit, and the Financial Audit unit. The Internal Audit Department's responsibilities include organizing and carrying out internal audit operations within the entity, assessing the level of institutional policies and procedures compliance, and preparing and reviewing documents and reports pertaining to the audit work's outcomes.

The second department came under the name of the Administrative Inspection Department, and it includes the External Coordination Unit, the Internal Coordination Unit, and the Complaints Unit. The department is responsible for responding to the oversight authorities, arranging meetings of the General Administration of Internal Audit with internal and external authorities, and following up on related tasks.

The third department was created and given the name Specialized Teams Department. This department, which has the team's supervisors, is responsible for carrying out specialized audits.

Mr. Saad bin Misfer Al-Fusaili, Director General of the General Administration of Internal Audit, explained that the adoption of a new structure is part of the university’s efforts to advance the internal audit’s practices and presence which align with the university's strategy to achieve institutional excellence, and contribute to the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

It is worth noting, that the General Administration of Internal Audit aims to improve and develop performance within the university by providing consultations and recommendations to various university entities, fostering behavioral values ​​in the functional community, and assisting upper management in achieving its goals and aspirations.
