University Study: Postgraduate Studies and Experience Raise the Level of Early Childhood Teachers’ Application of Educational Methods in Light of the Prophet’s Sunnah

A study published by King Khalid University's College of Education found that postgraduate studies and experience increase the degree to which early childhood teachers apply educational strategies in light of the Prophet's Sunnah.

The study was titled "The Extent of Early Childhood Teachers' Practice of Child-Educating Methods in Light of the Prophet's Sunnah in Abha Educational City " and was conducted by the researcher Ruqaya Asiri and supervised by Dr. Khadran Al-Suhaimi.

The goal of the study was to determine the level to which early childhood teachers in the educational city of Abha employ techniques for educating children in light of the Prophet's Sunnah.

The researchers used the descriptive survey method, where they applied a questionnaire to a sample consisting of 152 female teachers out of 172. The results of the research revealed that the early childhood teachers’ practice of child-Educating methods in view of the Prophet’s Sunnah in the Education Department of Abha Educational City was significant, with an arithmetic mean of (4.52). The results related to the different practices applied in educational fields were arranged in descending order as follows: practicing educational methods in the moral & social aspect (4.62), practicing educational methods in the psychological aspect (4.55), practicing educational methods in the educational aspect (4.54), practicing educational methods in the aspect of Islamic faith (4.39).

The results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the research individuals to the extent to which early childhood teachers practice the methods of educating children in view of the Prophet’s Sunnah due to the specialization variable in all fields. However, statistically, significant differences appeared according to the academic degree variable in the field of educational methods practiced in the Islamic faith aspect, which was in favor of the category of postgraduate studies, whereas for the variable of experience in the field of education on the 2 areas of practicing educational methods: the aspect of Islamic faith and the moral & social aspect, they were in favor for whom is experienced in the field for 5 to 10 years.
