Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh
bin Rajallah Al-Solami, the Department of Volunteerism and Social Responsibility in
cooperation with the General Administration of Media and Public Relations at the university
organized the "Saudi & International Volunteer Day 2022" ceremony, today, the 5th of
December. The ceremony took place in the celebrations center auditorium at the University
City in Al-Qar'a.

The ceremony aimed to call attention to the role of students and university employees in the
field of volunteer work and spread awareness on its importance. It also highlighted the
significant role volunteer work plays in contributing to social development.

During the ceremony, the university launched 18 various volunteer initiatives. Further, in the
presence of a number of university officials and students, the ceremony included several
different activities, as well as a panel discussion entitled "Volunteerism, its forms and
possibilities". His Excellency the University President also honored the participants and
volunteers.

It is worth noting that the number of volunteers reached 1545 volunteers from 38 entities in
the university.
