On Monday, His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Faleh bin
Rajallah Al Solami, welcomed, in his office at Al-Qaraa, the director general of
prisons in Aseer region Major General Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Awad and his
delegation.

The meeting discussed strengthening the cooperation between both sides on the basis
of the previously concluded cooperation agreement and the willingness to make a
comprehensive partnership.

In a previously agreement cooperation between the university and the Prisons
Directorate in Aseer region, a number of training courses and diploma programs in
various fields were delivered to prisoners and prison workers. The programs included
computer science, personal and administrative skills, English language, medical and
health programs, as well as providing necessary medical and mobile clinics as part of
university’s societal responsibility.

It’s worth noting that the a number of university representatives and relevant persons
attended the meeting.
