His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Faleh bin Rajallah Al-Solami,
stressed that this academic year 1444 AH is exceptional, due to the launch of the three-
semester system and the focus on admission to applied and specific disciplines. This came
today during His Excellency's speech at the Freshmen Welcome Ceremony which was
organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs and held in the sports hall at the new campus. In
his Speech Al-Solami also stressed on the importance of university outcomes and the need to
enhance students’ skills, through opportunities that align with their education plan and include
professional certified programs.

Prior to his speech His Excellency inspected the introductory booths at the welcoming
ceremony, which were presented by a number of bodies within the university and outside of
it, commending the efforts made in that part. It’s worth noting that the ceremony included
speeches, an introductory film, and a number of programs and events.

In the same context, a similar ceremony for female freshmen students took place in the
university auditorium at Greger campus, in the presence of the university Vice President for
Female Student Affairs, Prof. Kholoud Saad Abu Melha where several programs were
presented.
