On behalf of His Excellency King Khalid University President prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami the university Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Hamid bin Maju’ Al-Qarni, recently received Mr. Fumio Iwai, Japan's Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kingdom.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Qarni welcomed Mr. Iwai, expressing the university to receive him, after that the two representatives reviewed a number of aspects of existing cooperation to be worked on during the coming period.

It is worth noting that among the most prominent topics discussed were academic and research cooperation, the possibility of establishing joint summer programs and schools, student exchange, the possibility of hosting Japanese students to learn the Arabic language, and hosting speakers with pioneering experiences from Japanese universities.
