King Khalid University signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday evening with King Abdulaziz University represented by Prince Khalid Al Faisal’s institution for Moderation in its headquarters in Jeddah city. The cooperation aims to serve the two parties through a training course presented to 60 beneficiaries, on implementing a moderated approach and enhancing intellectual security.

Representing King Khalid university in signing the agreement was His Excellency King Khalid University Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solmai, while His Excellency King Abdulaziz University president Prof. Abdulrhman bin Obeed Al-Youbi represented his university.

On his part , the supervisor of the intellectual unit and coordinator of the program Dr. Misfer Alwadi, explained that the university is keen that the training course includes the pillars of intellectual awareness and the mental image of the Saudi Identity with is founded on national values, national belonging and cultural communication and exchange.

The program addresses contemporary intellectual and political intellectual propensity, thinking patterns, the risks of intellectual disorder, extremism and terrorism, and how to deal with them through critical thinking skills, constructive dialogue and cognitive inferences that will enhance the culture of dialogue and the literature of difference and achieve cognitive renaissance and sustainable intellectual development for societies.

The program also aims to achieve the potentials of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by laying the foundation of cultural and human communication. In addition the programs consolidates the concepts of intellectual security, as well as the implementation of cultural intelligence strategies to deal with intellectual opportunities and challenges in light of new media practices.
