King Khalid University Vice presidents of Academic Affairs, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, explained that the transition project to the three-semester system (Trimester) is "a quantum leap in the educational field and an opportunity to develop and update Study plans and programs, to meet the requirements and skills of the twenty-first century.

King Khalid University Vice President , Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Hamid Al-Behairi, confirmed that the new academic calendar, the development of curriculums and study plans, as well as the transition to the three-semester system, which was announced by His Excellency the Minister of Education, are steps towards a comprehensive development in the educational system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al Shahrani stressed that through the new academic calendar the Kingdom seeks to meet advanced eduction standards stressing that the new system is an important step towards improving overall educational outcomes that contribute to the university global ranking and achievement .

The General Supervisor of the King Khalid University branch in Tihama, Dr. Ahmed Atef Al-Shehri, explained that the announcement of the new academic calendar “comes as an extension of the qualitative development pursued by the Ministry of Education in all aspects to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

The General Supervisor of the Curriculum and Plans Unit at King Khalid University, Dr. Adwaa Ali Al-Ahmari, said on that the three semester system is an opportunity to update study plans and developing programs and courses that serve this transformation.

The supervisor of the Transition to the Three-Semester System Office at King Khalid University, Dr. Suad Muhammad Al-Qahtani, explained that "the establishment of the office comes in line with the requirements of the Ministry of Education's decision to transition to this system, and to achieve King Khalid University goal to achieve a smooth transition.

The supervisor of the Vision Initiatives Management Office at King Khalid University, Dr. Ali bin Hussein Al-Amir, explained that “the implementation of the three-semester system is a qualitative leap in developing the education system in the Kingdom and improving its outcomes.
