His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solami, met in his office with, Prof. Abdullah bin Hussein Al Qadhi, the Vice President for Studies, Development and Community Service Deanship at IAU. The meeting was organized by the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality at King Khalid University.

The meeting discussed IAU’s long-term, successful experience with the decision support unit (DSU), which provides accurate information, by collecting, analyzing, processing and presenting data in forms of numbers and charts, to help decision-makers in the University to make the proper decision in the proper time, it also provides a group of appropriate alternative decisions.

Al Solami explained that the aim of the meeting is to cooperate and exchange experiences with Saudi Universities, to ensure a constant development of Saudi universities and to enhance their chance of achieving leadership excellence, he also praised IAU’s experience with the Decision Support Unit, assuring that decisions must not be based on intuition, but on some factual, updated, analyzed and accurate data.

On his part, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed, said that Decision Support Unit provides data dispersion prevention system, by setting unified standard data for the university, and analyzing every other data accordingly, he also presented some samples from the University website.

At the end of the meeting, the University Vice President of Quality and Development Prof. Marzin Al-shahrani, stressed the importance of providing DSU, assuring that it will contribute to the growth of King Khalid University in many areas.
