King Khalid University Takes Part in the National Awareness Campaign “ The Dangers of Cyberbullying”

A team from King Khalid University took part in the National Awareness Initiative Campaign “ Teach & Realx “ which was recently unguarded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to educate the public on the the dangers of cyberbullying and the ways to prevent them , by presenting a lecture entitled “ Cyberbullying and Electronic Games : psychological and Technical Vision “ and a workshop to teach the methods to protecting children from the dangers of cyberbullying.

The university team was represented by the professor of learning psychology at the College of Education and the researcher and specialist in cyber psychology, Dr. Salha Ahmed Hadish, and the certified trainer, Head of the Information Technology and Media Unit at the Center of Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at the University, Mrs. Aisha Musa Al-Shahrani, and the general supervisor of Afaq of newspaper Reem Al-Asiri.

The lecture discussed, the types and forms of bullying, the difference between traditional bullying and online bullying, the psychological dimensions of electronic bullying, the technical and psychological reasons leading to its emergence, in addition to presenting a number of videos, explanatory and awareness photos.

It is worth noting, that the Digital Ithra Initiative is supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to spread digital knowledge among the public and enrich Arab technical content.
