Al-solami Patronized a Virtual Workshop Entitled “Towards Development without Corruption."

The General Administration of Media and Relations at King Khalid University, in cooperation with the E-learning Deanship, organized a virtual workshop entitled “Towards Development Without Corruption.” The workshop is part of the University’s contribution towards the awareness campaign which was launched by His Royal Highness the governor of Aseer region، Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, to decrease the amount of corruption in the region.

His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-solami, attended the launching of the workshop, and praised Aseer entities for working collectively to decrease the amount of corruption in the region, he also stressed the importance of this campaign, and explained how the University participated in spreading its message through TV interviews, social media, Afaq newspaper and by dedicating researches and workshops for this regard.

Al-solami added that achieving development requires cooperation and integration between both the government agencies and citizens.

Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Qarni, the Dean of Jurisprudence Department at the University, and Dr. Dhafer bin Saeed Al Hammad, the Assistant Professor of the Collage of Education at King Khalid University, participated in the workshop, which was moderated by Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Muraee, the Assistant Professor of Literature and Criticism, and the Dean of the Community College.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qarni, talked about the legal aspects, and explained how corruption is forbidden and should be stopped by any means according to the Islamic law.

It’s worth noting, that a large number of people attended the workshop through the University platform, and the University’s official Youtube channel as well.
