The Community Collage in Mahayel Asir at the University Branch in Tuhamma, organized a program on consumer-protection and ensuring consumption safety. The Collage’s Training Unit executed the program. Dr. Amal Ali, the program presenter, explained the program targets female students of the Tuhamma Branch Collages.

Dr. Amal viewed the importance online shopping especially in COVID-19 pandemic era, and the growth of e-commerce. She tackled the effects and risks of marketing and the Kingdom’s strategy to protect consumers from e-commerce marketing risks.

The Collage’s female section Vice Dean Ms. Nida Al-Qaisi, explained the program is a part of the Collage’s contribution in discussing vital topics. Especially in light of the increasing growth of the Saudi market with a large number of local products and companies, and the increasing demand. She focused on the fact that there is a competition between companies; the customer may fall victim to some aspects of exploitation by some producers.

It’s worth mentioning the program featured educational videos, and ended with an open discussion with the students. It comes in the context of the university's role in educating society and raising awareness among its members.
