On 14 August 2020, the Community Service Unit at the College of Science, under the Mobaderoon initiative, will hold an online webinar training program entitled "Nuclear Plants and Peaceful Uses in the Field of Energy". The program, which will be delivered by radiochemistry specialist Prof. Nasser Awad, is tailored to university students, researchers, faculty members, and those interested in nuclear power. Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Shati, says: "The program aims to introduce participants to the installation of nuclear plants, the production electricity through nuclear fuel, and a comparison between the economic cost of producing electricity with other sources such as petroleum, coal and solid waste."
