The Activities of 14th Summer Talent Program

It will begin this Sunday the activities of 14th Summer Talent Program in topics of medical, biological and engineering technologies under the auspices and guidance of HE the president of KKU Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawoud. Center for Talent and Creativity at KKU organizes the activities of the program in collaboration with the King Abdul Aziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. The programs will last for 19 days. It seeks to raise the standards of students' knowledge in the scientific, medical, biological and engineering fields 'technology of advanced materials' (Science, Engineering and Environmental Systems). It seeks also to improve their skills 'psychological and social aspects' through a variety of scientific programs to explain the biological, and physical, chemical and medical phenomena and their scientific apps as well as specialized workshops offered by number of researchers and specialists. The students will be divided into groups according to their scientific tendencies to work in labs and research projects. The programs includes number of different sporting and social activities.
The Manager of Talent and Creativity Center at KKU, the Head of the Program, Dr. Dhafir Bin Saeed Al Hamad confirmed on that, the programs aims to: develop the skills of outstanding students and direct them towards the needs and development priorities of society, give the students the opportunity to discover scientific and academic fields, improve creative and critical thinking skills as well as personal and social skills, and promote the spirit of teamwork, initiative and achievement.
He added that the program organizes a number of lectures and panel discussions, workshops and research seminars as well as field visits, meetings and trips and competitions to create the spirit of fun and benefit to the program.
