King Khalid University urges Secondary schools graduates to speed up the filling out their applications
KKU represented by Deanship of Registration and Admission urged all students (males and females) who is willing to attend the university headquarter (Abha) or one of affiliated colleges in provinces of Assir Region to speed up filling out their applications. The Deanship also urges them to set their disciplines in order of priority on e-portal KKU )http://registration.kku.edu.sa/kku/init).
The Dean of Registration and Admission, Dr, Saad Bin Muhammad Bin Dajim confirmed the pursuit and care of the university to accommodate the sons and daughters of the region, and give them the opportunity to complete their academic education, with a commitment to the principle of justice and equality between applicants in all admission processes.
He also revealed that the university has completed the adoption of admission in Bisha for (males) in the faculties of Medicine and Engineering (Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering), as well as in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Ahad Rafidah, also the admission in English Department (females) will begin there. While in Abha, the admission in the College of Administration and Home Economic (females) will begin in Accounting B.A Programs.
He pointed to the number of students (males and females) on the E-portal for the academic year 1435/1436 AH has reached approximately (27 thousands applications) until the date of 2/8/1435 AH. Not that, the deadline for receiving the applications on e-portal is 22/8/1435 AH. He said, "No applications will be accepted after this date". He added, "the applicant must enter the basic data, validate it and arrange the desires in order of priority. Secondary School's grades will be sent by the Ministry of Education and at the same time, the National Center for Assessment and Evaluation will provide the university with highest grades obtained by the students in General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Educational Achievement Test (EAT)".
Dr, Dajim clarified that the candidacy for admission to new students (male and female) will go on three stages:
First Stage: For students who have gotten rate of between 80% to 100%, it will begin from Saturday 23/8/1435 AH to Tuesday 26/8/1435 AH. The university will guarantee for those students who have gotten these rates to be accepted in any B.A. programs according to their marks, the order of desires and the number of seats approved by the University Council.
Second Stage: : For students who have gotten rate of between 75% to 79.99%, it will begin on Tuesday 4/9/1435 AH. The university will guarantee for those students who have gotten these rates to be accepted in any B.A. regular programs.
Third and Final Stage: : For students who have gotten rate of 75% and less, it will begin on Tuesday 11/9/1435 AH according to vacancy in regular and affiliated (females) B.A. programs or Community Colleges Diploma Programs.
The Dean of Registration and Admission Dr. Dajim confirmed on the importance of taking the tests of National Center for Assessment and Evaluation (Qiyas), which will be held from 9/8/1435 to 11/8/1435 AH for male students. For female students, it will be held from 9/8/1435 to 13/8/1435 A. These test are one of the conditions of Saudi Universities.
He added the subsequent steps to close the e-portal relies primarily on text messages. He also stressed on keeping the mobile devices on the operating mode to follow up all incoming text messages from the university and the student takes full responsibility for that. There is no need for coming to the university. Only for female students, there is no need for sending flies by mail. All the admission processes will be automatic via text messages and e-portal and this make King Khalid University as the first Saudi University initiative in using this ability. For male students, they must send their files to the university after receiving the text messages which include sending their graduation certificates via Express Mail Service (EMS).
To make it easier for students and their parents, the deanship have established the service of (Guide for Academic Admission) on university website (Deanship of Registration and Admission), which includes a guide admission for the academic year 1435/1436 AH, as well as general conditions and the outline of the admission, and the dates of candidacy and calculating the marks of GAT and EAT and secondary rate.
