Final touch to the 2nd Summer Festival

With participation of orphans and people with special needs King Khalid University made the finishing touches to the University 2nd Summer Festival.
King Khalid University made the finishing touches to the University 2nd Summer Festival. It will be held from 17 to 21 Shaaban, under the auspices of the Prince of Asir Region, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The festival appears in a new look this year to meet the needs of the residents of the region and its visitors.
In this regard, the President of the University, prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawood appreciated the Prince's interest and ongoing follow-up to all the activities of the university, in addition to sponsoring the University 2nd Festival, which is a part of Abha Touristic Festival this year. The President also appreciated the Prince's continuous support by harnessing all the potential to achieve all goals.
The Executive Director of the festival, Dr. Mohammed Bin Hamed Al-Buhairi also explained that the festival is a proof of the University vision of being one of the components of the fabric of the society in Asir region, and the important role which the University offers to the region and its inhabitants, and achieve the vision of tourism throughout the year. He added, "The University achieved remarkable success last summer and it still continues to support by launching a package of programs that meet the needs of holidaymakers in the region of all segments and different interests."
He clarified that the festival will go on innovation and creativity, depending on the proposals suggested by the programs beneficiaries, particularly the youth whose competitions, games of challenge have been increased. Additionally, the theatrical activity will also be activated through a comic, educational play, performed by a number of theater stars. He noted that the festival this year will witness adding a large number of exhibitions, and awareness programs to be provided by the university, in collaboration with some departments and government, and private bodies inside and outside the region.
Al- Buhairi confirmed that the children will share the change through the events of this summer. He said, " There is no doubt that the smile, happiness that we have seen on the faces of our children during the events of the last summer, have made us strive to double the efforts to give them wider spaces of entertainment, by adding new games and competitions in the Challenge field. The festival will also present a private theater for children to address their minds and develop their talents. He added," God willing, this year, children will find what attracts them and makes them happy. "
He also reported that the women will have a multitude share of programs and events. The festival will contain a number of sections and different contests for women, offered by colleagues with long experience in providing programs. Al-Buhari called on everyone to attend, and enjoy the sections of the festival which target the entire family.
As a hint of appreciation and gratitude for orphans and people with special needs, Dr. Buhairi said that the festival plans to repeat the experiment by hosting them as we did last year. He noted that he has prepared for them special programs and competitions that commensurate with their abilities, in line with the belief of the University that they are a dear segment of society and deserves attention.
