King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, is pleased to announce the implementation of two new electronic services that will enhance the university's information technology performance and encourage further positive development. The system is named 'Hather' and was designed by the General Directorate of Information Technology.

'Hather' is the culmination of a development program by the Employee Attendance Department and the General Directorate of Information Technology. This system is designed to enhance and improve information management and workflow processes for the university's attendance system.

The system's most noteworthy feature is that the information can be web-based. Therefore, all users can access all of the necessary functions in real time. This makes managing requests, work authorizations, and status reports much more efficient. The system allows managers and employees to communicate easily which reduces errors and hastens service times.

The other new system is from the Deanship of e-Learning. The program is called 'e-Lab' and is a platform for self-learning practical use courses and content using university resources. His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy, said 'We are proud to present yet another avenue through which our students can enhance their knowledge and improve their skills on a wide variety of topics and practical skills'. Vice Rector of Academic and Educational Affairs, Dr. Saad Du'ajim, related that he is confident that this new electronic tool will significantly benefit our students and better prepare them for advanced studies and or the workforce.

Dean of e-Learning, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmari, explained that the new platform is designed to provide additional educational opportunities for all members of the King Khalid University family. 'Through these systems, we are offering high-quality content that is enjoyable to use, practical in design, and intended to enhance the overall educational experience in accordance with the goals set forth in Vision 2030. The courses are designed to facilitate matching education with the needs of a changing workforce based on the Thriving Economy theme of Vision 2030'.
