Honoring Local and Global Achievements

On the 20th of Rabīʿ Al-Awwal, His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, honored 22 university students for outstanding achievement in local and global competitions. These students competed in a wide variety of academic, athletic, and civic competitions throughout the world. Notable achievements included but were not limited:

  • 1st place in the in the International Holy Quran Competition (Tanzania);
  • Bronze medal in female invention (South Korea);
  • Gold medal in invention (Indonesia);
  • Bronze medal in taekwondo (Lebanon);
  • Bronze medal in theater (Saudi Arabia);
  • Silver medal in the Open Forum for Urban Inventions (Saudi Arabia).

Also in attendance at the ceremony were Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Muhammad Du'ajim, and Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Aideed. They congratulated all of the students for their participation in these many events. Rector Al-Solamy thanked his colleagues for their support and efforts in encouraging the students to compete at such high levels. 'The university is committed to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in all fields. Our students' achievements and success deserve all of our recognition', said Al-Solamy.
