Student Activity Clubs Forum: Excellence, Influence, and Development

On the 13th of Rabīʿ Al-Awwal, the Faculty of Science and Arts for Girls in Ahad Rufaida held a forum titled 'Excellence: Influence and Development'. Utilizing quality indicators in student activities and events was the theme of the event led by Dean, Dr. Salma Al-Gharabi, from the Faculty of Science and Arts for Girls in Ahad Rufaida.

The forum began with a background presentation on the reasons for holding the forum. During the introductory talk, total quality management of student activities was highlighted in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and student activity coordinators from numerous departments and colleges. The topics included but were not limited to:

  • How to prepare reports and plan activities;
  • The role of volunteer clubs in encouraging active community participation;
  • The role of student activities in the development of social responsibility among female students;
  • Analyzing student reluctance to participate in university activities and how to use the media to expand activities;
  • How to motivate female students to participate in activities;
  • The role of student activities in the development of skills.

"Student activities is a creative space that allows students the opportunity to spend free time doing something they love. It is also a positive method to spread awareness and to hold programs that benefit students and the society we live in," said Dean Al-Gharabi.

Dean Al-Gharabi explained the Faculty of Arts and Science in Ahad Rifadah aspires to achieve extra-curricular excellence through its Student Activities Unit. She added that the unit serves to achieve desired outcomes in providing a positive, creative atmosphere in collaboration with all students clubs to enhance campus life.
